Analyse statistics
Understand where money comes from, where it goes, and how income, expenses, savings, and categories change over time.
- 1
Set the analysis scope
The global account and period filters set the data scope for the whole page. You can show or hide scheduled items and fixed expenses; in a shared space, you can also view everyone or one person. Privacy mode hides names and amounts.
TipTransfers, grouped transactions, and records outside totals or budgets do not enter income and expense calculations. If a filter hides everything, the empty state keeps the controls available so you can reverse it.
- 2
Choose visible sections
Open Manage sections to tailor the report. Your choices are saved to your account; in demo mode, they last only for that exploration session.
- Charts — Monthly Evolution and Income vs. Expenses.
- Trends — Period overview, Trends and comparisons, and By entity and category.
- Lists — income sources, received payments, expenses, transfers, new entities, top entities, top categories, and debt summary.
TipThe debt summary is unavailable when there are no active debts.

Use Smart Insights
The card always opens with a real sentence comparing this month to the same point last month — for example, how much more or less you've spent, and in which category. It then summarises period expenses, the largest category share, up to three observations, the main distribution, and a next step. You can refresh or collapse the card; the collapsed state is saved on this device.
- Monthly comparison — the opening sentence is always calculated from your real data, never invented by the AI.
- Shortcuts — recognised category, debt, and goal names open the matching transactions or page.
- Context — the analysis can consider your balance, limits, debts, savings goals, how much you can spend this month, and fixed and variable expenses.
- Unavailable service — if the AI assistant fails, iowii shows a local analysis and identifies it as such.
TipA short version of this card is also on the Dashboard — tap "View full analysis" to get here.

Compare annual net balance
The annual comparison shows the year-to-date total, positive months, best and worst month, and the current- and previous-year curves. Future months have no value, so they do not look like zero months. If automatic analysis is unavailable, use the chart directly.
- 5
Read the main indicators
Three cards summarise the period.
- Savings rate — `(income − expenses) / income × 100`; distinguishes positive savings, zero, deficit, and no income.
- Fixed and variable expenses — percentage and amount for each share; states when fixed expenses are hidden.
- Most frequent description — the most repeated name and its transaction count in the period.
- 6
Explore category evolution
Monthly Evolution by Category combines expense bars with an income line. Use the chips to choose categories; the rest stay included under Other Expenses, so the total never drops transactions.
- Desktop — hover over the chart for income, expenses, balance, and categories; click a bar to open transactions.
- Tablet — tap a month to open its details, then a category to view transactions.
- Table — open View data as a table to read the same monthly values.
- 7
Compare income and expenses
Choose 3M, 6M, or 12M to compare income, expenses, and net savings across a complete calendar window. The chart distinguishes months with no data, zero months, unavailable values, and the current month still in progress.
TipThe footer shows total spending and net savings. The period rate appears only when the window is complete and income is positive.
- 8
Use rankings and open details
The lists show up to ten results, and each row opens the matching transaction details.
- Income — income sources and largest received payments; you can set a target per source.
- Expenses and transfers — largest expenses and transfers, with internal transfers combined into one row.
- Entities — new entities and top entities by amount and count.
- Categories — amount, count, and limit progress, with shortcuts to set or adjust the budget.
- 9
Track the debt summary
If you enable the section and have debts, the summary shows the active count, outstanding balance, minimum payments, credit share of spending, and an estimated number of months remaining. It also highlights the highest rate and next due date.
- 10
Analyse detailed trends
The former Trends page now sits at the end of Statistics and follows the same filters.
- Overview — income, expenses, savings rate, and transaction total, with average or period context.
- Trends and comparisons — income vs. expenses, net value and rate, largest monthly expense, and yearly comparison.
- By entity and category — choose an option and compare spending with transaction count by month.

Use statistics on mobile
On mobile, statistics have their own layout: period balance at the top, income and expenses side by side, savings rate, the split between fixed and variable expenses, and the rankings as sections you open one at a time. The detailed charts stay available on desktop.
- Sections — tap a title to open or close it; one opens at a time so you keep your context.
- Details — tap a category, expense, entity, or source row to see its transactions.
- Hide fixed expenses — the switch recalculates totals, savings rate, and rankings.
- Privacy — the icon at the top hides every amount without leaving the page.

Export the report
Open Export and choose CSV or PDF. Both follow the visible filters, including period, account, person, fixed expenses, and scheduled items. CSV includes the section data; PDF creates a paginated table report without chart images.
