Secure sharing

Invite people into your space with a link, choose exactly what each one can do, and remove access whenever you want.

   Understand what a space is

   A space is a financial context: your own, or one you have joined. You will find everything on the Space page inside your profile.

   Tip · Your personal accounts and balance are never shared. That separation is automatic — not something you have to set up.

   Choose what the other person can do

   Access is not a simple read-or-write choice: you pick six independent permissions, arranged in two groups.

   • Transactions — view, add, edit, and delete transactions.
   • Summary and Goals — see the weekly summary and savings goals.

   Tip · If in doubt, start with view only and widen it later — you can change any permission at any time.

   Invite by link

   Set the permissions you want to grant and generate an invite link. Copy it and send it over: when they open it, they see who invited them and exactly what they will be able to do before accepting. The card shows how many times the link has been used.

   Tip · You can revoke the link at any time — it stops working immediately for anyone who has not used it yet.

   Know how many people you can invite

   Your plan sets how many members your space accepts and how many spaces you can join. When you reach the limit, iowii tells you and the invite link stops being acceptable by anyone else.

   Tip · To invite someone else, either revoke an access you no longer need or change plan. Nobody already inside is affected.

   Manage who already has access

   Under granted access you see everyone you have invited and each one's status:

   • Pending — invited but has not accepted yet.
   • Active — has accepted and can reach the space.
   • Declined — received the invitation and turned it down.
   • Removed — had access and no longer does.

   Tip · Before you confirm a permission change, iowii shows you a summary of what will change. When you remove someone's access, the invitation history is kept.

6. 6

   Join and leave spaces

   Invitations you receive appear under received invites, showing the permissions they grant before you accept. Once you are in, you can switch between your own space and the ones you share, and leave a space whenever you want.

   Tip · Your plan limits how many people your space can hold and how many spaces you can be part of. If an invitation is blocked, that limit is the reason.

7. 7

   Share a summary without granting access

   If you want to show someone how things stand without inviting them into the space, create a shared summary: a public, read-only link.

   • The settle-up balance between you.
   • The main shared expense categories.
   • A savings goal, if you want to include one.

   Tip · You choose what the summary includes before publishing, and you can remove the link at any time.
