Security and privacy

Share only what makes sense.

IOWII is designed to coordinate money together without making a person's entire financial life visible to the group.

Three people choosing which financial details to share in a protected space

Personal and shared data

An expense or goal enters the common space only when shared. Personal accounts and transactions remain separate by default.

  • Context-based sharing
  • No automatic access to personal accounts
  • Shared information clearly identified

Controlled access

Access depends on account authentication and the permissions assigned to the space. Leaving a shared context ends access to that space.

  • Account authentication
  • Permissions visible before sharing
  • The owner adjusts what members can do in each group
  • Revocable access

Control of your data

Organize, correct, and export your own records. IOWII is a tracking tool: it is not a bank and does not move money.

  • User-editable records
  • Export included in every plan
  • No bank payments or transfers

Sign-in protection

You can turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app: from then on, every sign-in also asks for a 6-digit code. You can also link a Google account to your email and password.

  • Optional two-step verification
  • Changing your password asks for the current one first
  • At least one sign-in method always active

Privacy tools

Privacy mode hides amounts on screen when someone is nearby. A public link shows only what you choose to share and can be revoked at any time.

  • Privacy mode
  • Revocable public links
  • Export your data or delete your account from Profile
